Service - Experience - Results

My name is Judy LeFave. I am a wife and mother, a small business owner, and a past president of the Johns Creek Community Association.  I am running for Johns Creek City Council in the November 5th election. I care deeply about Johns Creek and I have the experience and desire to make sure that Johns Creek and its residents continue to enjoy a beautiful and safe city to call  home.

I have served as President of the Johns Creek Community Association beginning in January 2015 until May of 2017.  This association is a unique organization that represents homeowners through their HOAs to the city. The JCCA speaks on behalf of the membership during Johns Creek city meetings on a variety of issues from zoning cases to possible solutions to immediate issues facing the citizens.  I have also served on the Zoning Task Force as well as the Noise Ordinance Task Force, both appointments helped to increase my knowledge in regard to the governing documents used to guide the city in zoning cases – The Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Johns Creek City Ordinances.

Recently, I have worked as a consultant to the Student Leadership Johns Creek, Secretary of State Ambassadors Program.  My responsibilities included guiding the students on how to host a debate. The City Council/Mayoral Debate hosted by the students was a tremendous success and the students were asked to assist in three additional candidate events.  The Fulton County Board of Education also recognized the student’s efforts during their meeting held on November 7, 2017.

Professionally, I graduated from the Atlanta School of Massage, Deep Tissue Program in 2003.  I am certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and I obtained my Georgia License for Massage Therapy in 2007.  I have served as the Government Relations Chairman for the AMTA-Georgia Chapter, working on a legislative amendment for the Massage Therapy Practice Act, which passed and was signed into law in 2019.

I have been a Johns Creek resident for 22 years, married for 23 years and have two sons, Nathan and Peter. I have served as a Girl Scout Troop leader for Junior level scouts. I also volunteered at North Point Community Church as a Greeter on UpStreet.
